Greg Boutin, managing director

Greg Boutin builds on over 15 years of experience in mission-critical business functions, rigorous credentials, and an uncompromising passion.

Greg blogs at both Growth Times and Semantics Incorporated, is featured monthly on the Semantic Web Gang podcast, and had papers published in the past months in Nodalities Magazine as well as Renewable Energy World Magazine on business strategies in the web and cleantech verticals.

Most recently, Greg worked as a Marketing Director for a funded venture in the semantic web space, where he developed the go-to-market strategy that backed the firm's second successful fundraising round, and implemented a strategic planning and marketing process based on the Pragmatic Marketing and Agile Programming frameworks (as a certified "Scrummaster").

Prior to that, Greg served as a consultant for the Boston Consulting Group in Toronto, where he worked on a number of growth strategy and organizational transformation projects in the finance and retail sectors.

Greg also held a strategic marketing role at Energy Innovations, a Pasadena-based start-up in solar energy (part of Idealab), served hundreds of exporters as a commercial attaché for the French Ministry of Finance in the Philippines and Pakistan, and worked in product management for Nestle and as a corporate sales rep for France Telecom in Paris.

Greg holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he founded the Energy Club, taught web technologies and quantitative modeling, and was a Fulbright scholar. From his time in Europe, he secured a BSc/MSc. in Commerce from the EDHEC Graduate School of Management in France, and a certificate in Marketing from the Strathclyde University in the UK.
